Back in the dark ages before the world-wide web, there were fan magazines, local clubs, letter columns and comic conventions. Not many other options if you wanted to connect with fellow comic collectors unless you were fortunate enough to live within biking distance of other comic fans. I fell into the former group and my contact with other collections was few and far between. Fast forward to the early 90's when I stumbled across the pre-nascent internet, aka "Usenet". This was the electronic gateway to hundreds of other comic fans for me and I quickly discovered the marketplace for comics. Comics were bought, sold and traded simply based upon a stream of characters. No pictures, no video and no grading services. Just the trust that a text message like "X-men #15 for sale, real nice!" meant that you would get a silver age unrestored X-men #15 in something close to VF condition. I bought many a comic in the 24x7 marketplace and eventually dipped my toes into selling and was hooked!
There are many stories to tell about Usenet that I will save for a later time but for now I will keep it light by saying that from there I quickly moved to eBay then on to other electronic marketplaces like Facebook and the CGC forums as well as setting up as a vendor at small conventions. With the COVID-19 quarantine, I found the spare time to final branch out into my own adventures of setting up a web site to buy & sell comic books. Over the coming days and weeks (maybe months, hopefully not years!), I will be adding to this site and updating the inventory of books I have to sell. Bear with me as there is a lot of work on my part to do and I will focus primarily on adding inventory because at the end of the day, isn't that what we are all here for? To buy comics....
